<p>A multilayer, sterilizable deep-drawing film is disclosed which is suitable to manufacture vacuum deep-drawn packagings to hold blood infusion fluids or sharp-edged packed goods. The film is composed of a coextruded composite film having two outer layers of a linear polyethylene, polypropylene, a copolymer of polypropylene, or of high density polyethylene and two inner layers of an ethylene vinylacetate copolymer or ethylene methacrylic acid copolymers crosslinked with metal ions. The outer layers are secured to the inner layers by melt bonding and the inner layers are secured to one another by heat bonding. The film is advantageously produced by coextrusion, exhibits excellent deep drawing behavior and is resistant to low temperatures as well as being sterilizable.</p> |
