RESIN COMPOSITION HAVING METALLIC LUSTER

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a compsn. which gives moldings having excellent impact resistance and fine metallic luster, by blending a vinyl chloride copolymer resin with a methyl methacrylate/butadiene/styrene copolymer and a metalescent pigment. CONSTITUTION:A resin compsn. is obtd. by blending 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride copolymer resin with 5-15pts.wt. methyl methacrylate/butadiene/styrene copolymer and 0.5-10pts.wt. metalescent pigment and uniformly dispersing them in one another. The methyl methacrylate/butadiene/styrene copolymer is effective in preventing lowering in strength due to the addition of the metalescent pigment, improving the skin of moldings and imparting excellent transparency and fine luster. Preferred examples of the metalescent pigment are metallic powders of aluminum or a copper/zinc alloys. The particle size thereof is 2-70mu.
