PURPOSE:To make an optimum operation plan for the entire part of process by setting up production predictions from tapping to continuous casting for every steel kind to be produced and determining the tapping sequence to minimize the stagnation time of molten steels then calculating each process time. CONSTITUTION:Casting sequence is determined by selecting the steel kinds to be cast within the time to be planned. The allowance time and molten steel allowance for a converter and continuous casting machine are calculated from the data on the required time, amt. of molten iron, tapping speed, downtime, etc., of each stage. Production pitches are checked in accordance with the calculated values and the allowance time of the converter is uniformly allotted to the converter use time of each steel kind. The tapping pitch of the converter is thereby temporally determined and the tapping sequence with the converter is determined by each one charger. The casting order, casting time, etc., are further corrected according to need. The processing by a linear programming method is thereafter used to determine the process time for each stage in a manner as to meet the three requirements to satisfy the restrictions on equipment, to execute the intended continuous casting as far as possible and to minimize the loss by the stagnation of the molten steels.
