PURPOSE:To obtain a bar code generating device in which a bar code can be displayed rapidly and easily by constituting a device so that an optional combination out of printed plural bar codes is selected one by one, and the printing part of it is moved to a position facing with each window. CONSTITUTION:When the point of a selection menu 16 is aligned at a designated position, a bar code 11 appears at a display part2. Also, when an operating part 1a is aligned to a position that designates the points of selection menu 17-20, a bar code 12 appears at the display part 2 in the selection menu 17, and a bar code 13 in the selection menu 18, and a bar code 14 in the selection menu 19, and a bar code 15 in the selection menu 20, respectively, and each bar code corresponds to the contents of each selection menu. Thus, by providing an operating part 1 at a bar code panel 10, and mounting it so as to move along a guide groove 4, the bar code requested to take out at the display part 2 can be displayed. In this way, a process, such as an editing, or a printing work in which a conversion from a numeral or a character to the bar code is performed, can be remarkably reduced and simplified.
