<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a lightweight and hard type having good strength and abrasion resistance and capable of being used also for embossing, by providing a type face part constituted of such particles as to obtain a hardness sufficient for enduring a printing pressure and a smoothness, an impact part constituted of larger particles having a hardness approximate to the above and an elasticity for enduring and absorbing an impact, and a joint part between the two parts which is constituted of a mixture of the two kinds of particles. CONSTITUTION:A high-hardness part 2 including a type face 5 is formed of phenolic resin particles having a particle size of 75mum, is dense, and has a hardness of 100 deg., which value is sufficient for enduring an embossing pressure. Thus, the type face 5 is smooth, and the accuracy of a character is high. A low-hardness part 4 is constituted of phenolic resin particles having a particle size of 100mum, and has a hardness of 90 deg., which value is sufficient for enduring the embossing pressure. The elasticity of the part 4 absorbs the impact applied to the back side of the type, and reduces the possibility of breakage of the type. An intermediate-hardness part 3 provided between the parts 2, 4 is constituted of a mixture of the material constituting the part 2 and the material constituting the part 4, has a hardness of about 95 deg., and functions to joint the parts 2, 4 to each other and prevent them from being released from each other due to an impact. Accordingly, a type can be obtained which is light in weight, is hard, has sufficient strength and abrasion resistance, and can be used also for embossing.</p> |
