PURPOSE:To contrive to simplify a program and to attain general-purpose by executing a performance analyzer control instruction in the same flow without changing the flow of the instruction in accordance with the classification of a command. CONSTITUTION:A command check part 2 checks a command designated by the command part of the command word, and a store suppression signal is issued unless it is counter read. An invalid check part 3 issues the store suppression signal if counter read is invalid, for example, the check result of the command check part 2 is counter read and a counter designated by a PA unit address part is not provided. The instruction is controlled in the fixed flow without changing the instruction flow in accordance with the classification of the command, and the write to a main storage is inhibited when the command is not counter read or counter read is invalid, for example, the pertinent counter is not provided. Thus, the flow of the PA instruction processing is simplified and made for general-purpose to facilitate and the generation and change of the program are facilitated.
