PURPOSE:To quickly discriminate elements by preliminarily storing data on element names, the kinds of X-rays, etc., as a wavelength chart file, inputting the data in the wavelength region of the analyzed X-rays and making sequential retrieval by the wavelength chart file. CONSTITUTION:The data on the element names, the kinds of X-rays, the wavelength of the primary X-rays, etc. are compiled as one record unit and plu-ral points of records are preliminarily stored as the wavelength chart file into an external memory device 13. A sample is analyzed by an X-ray analyzer to obtain X-ray spectra. The wavelength range of the X-ray spectra is inputted to an input device 15. For example, the wavelength range lambda1-lambda2 of the spectra having a certain peak (d) is inputted thereto. Sequential retrieval is then made by the wavelength chart file in a computer 11. The element names, the kind, order and wavelength of the X-rays, etc., out of the wavelength range applied as the input data are displayed on a display device 14 and a recorder 16. The stored wavelength file is assigned and the retrieval is made with the wavelength range in the above-mentioned manner and therefore, the elements are quickly discriminated. |
