PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which does not cause changes in hue with the passage of time and is excellent in leveling, by blending a pigment with a water-soluble polymer, specified aluminum silicate and water. CONSTITUTION:7-35pts.wt. water-soluble polymer (A) (e.g., gum arabic) is mixed with 25-65pts.wt. water (B) and optionally additives such as a moisture absorbent (e.g., glycerol), a preservative (e.g., phenol), etc. to obtain a vehicle. The vehicle is mixed with 15-55pts.wt. pigment (C) (e.g., titanium oxide), 1-30pts.wt. aluminum silicate (D) of the formula (wherein n is 3-9; x is the number of adsorbed water molecules), obtd. by reacting aluminum isopropoxide with ethyl orthosilicate and optionally, an extender pigment (e.g., CaCO3) to obtain 100pts.wt. titled compsn.
