PURPOSE:To generate a curved surface surely and easily by specifying the correspondence between a point on a curve and an element on the other curve in a curve definition statement and dividing the other element and connecting the point and all divided points to form an edge part. CONSTITUTION:End points Pi, Ps, Qi and Qs of respective elements Gi and Ei constituting the first curve CV1 and the second curve CV2 are specified. The curve definition statement and a pitch P are inputted. A processor 11a obtained line lengths L1i and L2i of respective elements of curves and operates overall lengths L1 and L2. Longer one of line lengths L1 and L2 is defined as L, and an integer which is larger than L/P and is nearest to L/P is used as a divider M. A divider Mj of each element of the longer curve is obtained, and the start point of each curve is read and is stored. The i-th and j-th elements are read, and division points are operated and stored. If no blocks defining the curve remain, NC data is generated which moves a tool successively along obtained corresponding points, and the processing is terminated.
