<p>PURPOSE:To transmit immediately hand-written characters and graphics and to input them with high precision by detecting coordinates, which are designated with a magnetic pen, on a tablet by a position detecting circuit and not only transmitting them through a processor but also displaying them on a display device. CONSTITUTION:When the magnetic pen is brought into contact with the input surface of a tablet 100, an ultrasonic signal is oscillated from the magnetic pen. A position detecting circuit 500 receives this signal, and digital values of induced voltages on X and Y-direction detection lines are inputted to an operation processing circuit 504 and are stored temporarily in a memory 510 to obtain the coordinate value of a position A. This operation is repeated to obtain successively indicated position data, and these data are sent to a proces sor 700. Position data stored in the processor 700 pass a display control circuit 600 and are displayed on a display device 300 put on the tablet 100. Position data from the processor are modulated to an audio band signal by an acoustic coupler 800 and are converted to an audio signal by a speaker 802 and are transmitted to the other party through a telephone and a telephone line.</p> |
