PURPOSE:To detect a neutral state properly in an electric manner, by judging that a transmission is in the neural state at a time when the ratio of engine speed to car speed is within the specified range in a torque transfer state by a clutch. CONSTITUTION:An engine unit is provided with an engine 5 and a transmission transmitting output torque of the engine 5 to be fed via a clutch to a rear stage. And, a control circuit 20 sets valve opening time of a solenoid on-off valve 9 on the basis of input information out of various sensors 10-14, feeding a suction manifold 4 with secondary air via a passage 8, and controls an air-ruel ratio of mixture to the desired value. At the abovementioned constitution, each signal out of a car speed sensor 16 and a clutch switch 17 is inputted into this control circuit 20 in addition. And, in a torque transfer state by the clutch, when the ratio of engine speed to car speed out of each of sensors 11 and 16 is within the specified range, it is judged that the transmission is in a neutral state. |
