PURPOSE:To be able to generate an output for detection regardless of rise or drop in the input level of a level detector, by using a fail-safe window comparator for the level detector. CONSTITUTION:When the resistance or impedance of a pressure sensitive rubber 81 placed between electrodes (a) and (b) is expressed by Z1, the output resistance or output impedance of a signal generator 83, Z2, and the output voltage of the signal generator 83, V2 and an input impedance of a window comparator 5 are set large enough, the voltage V1 across terminals of a pressure-sensitive rubber is determined as V1=Z1.V/(Z1+Z2). Therefore, when the oscillation range of the window comparator is set approximately V=V1, a window comparator 85 always oscillates to generates an AC output at an output terminal T3. If the impedance or resistance of the rubber is lowered by a pressure, the terminal voltage of the rubber comes down to stop the oscillation thereby generating an output for detection.
