PURPOSE:To improve rigidity by screwing a free revolution propeller shaft in substitution for a nut onto the screw part of a propeller shaft and installing the flange part onto the boss of the propeller by using a flange and fitting the boss of the free revolution propeller through bearings. CONSTITUTION:A free revolution propeller shaft 3 is fixed for a propeller 1 and a propeller shaft 2 by the mutual screwing between the screw parts 2a and 2b and the flange seaming for the rear edge surface of the boss 1a of the propeller 1 in a flange part 3 by bolts, etc. Then, two bearings 6 and 7 are fitted onto the outer periphery of the free revolution propeller shaft 3, and the boss 5a of a free revolution propeller 5 is fitted onto the outer periphery, and the propeller 5 is fitted in free revolution. Therefore, the rearward overhang quantity from the edge of the propeller shaft 2 of the free revolution propeller shaft 3 can be exceedingly reduced, and the rigidity, installation space, etc., can be improved advantageously. With such constitution, the propeller shaft 3 can be made firm, and rigidity can be improved.
