PURPOSE:To make it possible to confirm the residual state and final point of the effect of medicine visually, easily and accurately by the change of a color tone, by containing three components of a volatile desensitizing agent, an electron donating color forming org. compound and a coupler as essential components. CONSTITUTION:A medicine effect indicative composition contains an electron donating color forming org. compound, a coupler and a volatile desensitizing agent and, by allowing these three components to be present, the desensitizing action of said desensitizing agent exceeds that of the coupler before volatilization or during a time when said agent remains sufficiently to suppress color development. When the desensitizing agent is volatilized and the residual ratio thereof becomes low, the reaction of the coupler with the electron donating color forming org. compound starts and a color begins to develop and, when said agent is perfectly volatilized and lost, the color tone peculiar to the electron donating color forming org. compound appears. Therefore, the above mentioned reaction process corresponds to the volatilization process of the volatile desensitizing agent and the residual state and final point of the effect of the volatile desensitizing agent can be confirmed visually in an extremely accurate manner by the change of the color tone of the above mentioned composition.
