<p>PURPOSE:To sterilize a food at a uniform temperature while heating, suppress deterioration in quality of the food and loss of components and effectively sterilize the food by simple operation, by applying microwaves to a food under give reduced pressure condition in an oven connected to a vacuum pump. CONSTITUTION:A raw vegetable or daily dish product is put in a hermetically sealed oven and a vacuum pump connected to the oven is driven to keep the interior of the oven, preferably under about 600+ or -100mmHg reduced pressure. Microwaves are then applied to the above-mentioned raw vegetable, etc., to carry out sterilization at a constant and uniform temperature, e.g. about 60 deg.C.</p> |
