PURPOSE:To easily generate a three-dimensional image by dividing and displaying plural two-dimensional drawings as fundamental graphics, and performing the movement and the rotation of the graphic with an indication by a stylus pen. CONSTITUTION:A mode space 16 is set automatically to perform the modeling of a three-dimensional shape within a graphic display controller 2, and a model coordinate system shown in rectangular coordinates X, Y, and Z is attached. Also, a fundamental graphic 14 has a primitive coordinate system 18, and it is represented as the rectangular coordinate of (x), (y), and (z). When the fundamental graphic 14 is generated within the device 2, a state where the coordinate systems 17 and 18 are coincided is generated. The movement and the rotation of the fundamental graphic 14 within the space 16 are represented by a movement quantity P0 (X0, Y0, Z0), and a rotation quantity F (matrix of 3 X 3) in the coordinate system 18 against the coordinate system 17, and one point P'(x, y, z) in the coordinate system 18 is converted to one point P(X, Y, Z) in the coordinate system 17, and is made into a component, and a bit of shape information, the movement quantity, and the rotation quantity for each of the fundamental graphics are preserved within the device 2.
