PURPOSE:To improve sharply the stability of a camera at the fixing of the camera on a tripod or after the fixing of the camera by arranging a fitting member for fitting the tripod to a universal head on the center position of a master plate fixed on the bottom part of the camera body in its plate width direction. CONSTITUTION:A fixing hole 20a is formed on the center position of the master plate 20 having plate width slightly narrower than the width of a bottom cover 19, an intermediate gear 21 is arranged on the upper part of the master plate 20 and a shift hole 21a is formed on the gear 21. A base board 18A fixing a focus detector 18 arranged on the fitting member 22 is connected to the bot tom part 17 of a mirror box through four adjusting screws 29 and respective adjusting screws expose their cross holes engraved on the screw heads to the lower end side. Thus, the center position of a female screw 22a of the fitting member 22 fitted to the center position of one intermediate gear 21 coincides with the center position of the master plate in its plate width direction and the vertical position of a focus adjusting device 17 can be adjusted by using adjusting holes 32 formed on the peripheral positions of respective gears 21, 27, 28 and screwing the adjusting screws 29 by a driver 33.
