发明名称 METHOD AND INSTRUMENT FOR REACTION MEASUREMENT USING SYNCHRONIZATION DETECTING OF ORTHOGONALLY POLARIZED COMPONENT
摘要 PURPOSE:To remove the influence of scattered light generated by impurity particles and to measure reaction with high accuracy and reproducibility without using any polarizer by projecting linear polarized light and passing scattered light from aggregate particulates or particulates produced from reaction molecules, and detecting it in synchronism with an electric field applied to the particulates. CONSTITUTION:Laser light 2 emitted by a laser light source 1 passes through a condenser lens 3 and the polarizer 4 to strike on a sample cell 5. The sample cell 5 contains reaction liquid 6 consisting of a suspension of colloidal particulates where antibodies or antigens which cause antibody-antigen reaction fixed on the surfaces of plastic beads of about 0.2mum in diameter, and an AC electric field is applied from an oscillator 10, so that aggregate particles produced by the antibody-antigen reaction are oriented in such a direction that electric energy is minimum. The scattered light from the cell 5 passes through a condenser lens 7 and an orthogonal polarizer 8 and is incident on a photodetector 9. Its output is detected by a synchronization detecting device 11 in synchronism with the electric field applied to the cell 5 and inputted to a data processor 12.
