PURPOSE:To improve sealing ability between laps, by a method wherein a guide, moving an intermediate member in one way, is situated on a rotary shaft, and is so inclined that a swirl scroll is revolved facing a stationary scroll. CONSTITUTION:A scroll compressor is provided with a stationary scroll 6, mounted to a frame 5, and an intermediate member 9 through which a swirl scroll 7 is engaged with a guide 8 of a rotary shaft 3 for revolution. The movement direction of the intermediate member 9 and a centrifugal direction, interconnecting a center A of the rotary shaft 3, coincided with a contact part between a lap 12 of the stationary scroll 6 and a lap 15 of the swirl scroll 7, and a center B of the intermediate member 9, are inclined in a range of 0<alpha<90 deg.. This constitution enables a clearance to be reduced to 0 without increasing machining precision to improve sealing ability.
