摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily record clear images free of irregularities in density, in proportion to the quantity of an ink, by providing a highly oil- absorptive coat layer on a base such as a synthetic paper which has a high smoothness. CONSTITUTION:A highly oil-absorptive coat layer 22 formed of a mixture of an inorganic pigment consisting of silica as a main constituent and an adhesive binder comprising polyvinyl alcohol and additives is provided on a base 21 consisting of a synthetic paper or resin film which has a Bekk smoothness of 400-10,000sec and does not permit a heat-fusible ink to penetrate therein. With this construction, the thickness of the coat layer 22 is uniformized, the heat-fusible ink transferred penetrates uniformly into only the coat layer 22 on the surface of the base 21, and is held there, so that the uniformity of the density of the ink is markedly enhanced. In addition, since the transferred ink is held in the vicinity of the surface of the base 21, the transferred density corresponding to a fixed amount of the ink transferred is high, and it is possible to achieve transfer recording of intermediate gradations or full-color gradations, with uniform and appropriate transferred densities.
