PURPOSE:To make it possible to indicate a portion to be inspected in an inspection mode when a power supply is again turned ON after interruption of the power supply by loading a rewritable non-volatile memory element, and writing the portion to be inspected into the memory element when the controller assumes the inspection mode. CONSTITUTION:When a contact 6a showing the operation of a protective device A is being operated, an inspection mode is started, due to the operation of a protective device, and a portion A to be inspected is set in display data. When a contact 6b showing the operation of a protective device B is under operation, and inspection mode due to the protective device B is set in the display data, thereby thus set display data B is written into a memory element 8. By the processing, the portion A to be inspected or the portion B to be inspected is retained in a non-volatile memory element. When an inspection switch 9 is turned ON, data stored in the memory element 8 are read out and set in the display data. When the inspection switch 9 is not turned ON, it is set in the display data that the controller is under normal operation. The display data is displayed by means of light emitting diodes 7a and 7b, accordingly.
