PURPOSE:To make it possible to stick a workpiece to a holder by the aid of freezing workings by permeating water between the workpiece and the holder and then also lowering the temperature of the water below the freezing point for freezing the water. CONSTITUTION:Waters 6a and 6b are dripped on the top face 3c of a holder top 3a on which this plates 5a and 5b are fixed. Then, electricity is charged to cooling elements 1a and 1b to cool the holder top 3a to a temperature of -10 deg.C. At this time, the thin plates 5a and 5b are firmly stuck to a holder by the aid of the freezing working of the water. The holder is attached to a machine tool through a shaft 10, and a workpiece is machined with a cutting tool. When the thin plates 5a and 5b removed after completing machining, plus electric current and minus electric current charge in the cooling elements 1a and 1b are reversed to heat the upper portion of the holder melting the ices 1a and 1b. This leads to the removal of the thin plates 5a and 5b from the holder. |
