PURPOSE:To prevent any outward expansion of brush material in a low rigidity part in the middle position by means of high rigidity parts so as to chamfer efficiently the inner and outer circumferential edges of a workpiece regardless of the shape of its part to be machined by arranging high rigidity parts on both sides of the low rigidity part of a brush for chamfering machine parts, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a brush 11 is rotated and a cylindrical member 1, that is a workpiece, is moved reciprocally in the arrow direction 23, firstly a machining face 15 touches an outer circumferential edge 3 and chamfering is made by high rigidity parts 19 on both sides of the machining face 15. And a low rigidity part 18 in the middle position is made of low rigidity brush material 14a, therefore it is apt to expand outward, however this is prevented by being pressed laterally by high rigidity parts 19 and chamfering processes can be achieved effectively. Furthermore, the low rigidity part 18 makes chamfering on an inner circumferential edge 4.
