PURPOSE:To conduct an air conditioning control on the basis of a signal detected by a sound collection sensor for detecting the degree of gathering of persons. CONSTITUTION:A noise level signal is detected by a sound collection sensor 1 thereby to obtain a signal indicative of the number of persons gathered in the room. Based on the signal thus obtained, an air conditioning load level is determined. Further, based on the air conditioning load level, the rotational speed of a fan 8 is controlled. Still further, a heat exchanger 6 and a humidifier 7 are controlled by a heat exchanger 6 and a temperature sensor 2 and a humidifier sensor 3. The total load of a building is calculated by sound collection sensors of respective floors to select the number of heat source of the machines to be operated. Thus, an air conditioning control suitable for the actual conditions of the building site and having a good response can be realized.
