PURPOSE:To execute image formation based on the backward movement of a reciprocating member and to select the image leading direction of the formed image by forming the 1st optical path to be used at the forward scanning of an original by the reciprocating member and the 2nd optical path to be used at the time of backward scanning. CONSTITUTION:The titled image forming device has the 1st optical path to be used for original scanning based on the forward movement of the reciprocating member and the 2nd optical path for original scanning. At the end of copying on one side, the succeeding copying operation is started. When a copy start key is newly turned on, a paper feed roller 25 is rotated at a prescribed timing to feed paper from an intermediate tray 26 and the paper is reversed by a guide plate 29 and applied to a resist roller 30. The resist roller 30 is rotated at a prescribed timing to uniform the image head, the image formed on a photosensitive drum 20 is transferred, and at that time, transfer corona 14 is excited at a prescribed timing to transfer the image to the back side. The guide plate 34 engaged with the roller 40 is guided so as to be led into a paper discharge board 36 and transfer paper copied on both the sides is stored to complete both-sided copying. |
