发明名称 MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the magnetic recording medium having high density of magnetic flux, high output power, excellent coercive force and the low degree of deterioration with time in magnetic characteristics by a method wherein a magnetic layer, containing ferromagnetic powder consisting of a magnetic metal alloy layer containing Co and Ni on the surface of oxide magnetic powder as the principal ingredients, is provided on a non-magnetic supporting member. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic layer containing the ferromagnetic powder, consisting of the magnetic metal alloy layer having Co and Ni as the principal ingredients on the surface of the oxide magnetic powder such as Fe3O4 powder, gamma-Fe2O3 powder, Co-containing iron oxide powder, barium ferrite magnetic powder, chromium oxide magnetic powder and the like, is provided on a non- magnetic supporting member. Pertaining to the occupation rate of said magnetic metal alloy layer, 50-98wt% of Co, 2-50wt% of Ni, and 0-10wt% of other kind of metals such as Fe, Cu, Mo and W may be contained therein. The occupation rate of the alloy layer for the entire ferromagnetic powder is 5-50%, and the optimum rate is 10-40%. The occupation rate of Ni in the entire ferromagnetic powder is 1-10%, and especially its optimum rate is 1.5-8%.
