<p>PURPOSE:To prevent mixing of chip dropped from the machining part of a machine tool, by a method wherein a grasping hole cover, vertically moved according to engagement and disengagement of a pull stud with and from the grasping hole of a collect, is disposed in a loose engaging manner. CONSTITUTION:A leg part 98 of a pull stud 96 depresses a cover member 80 against the force of a spring 84 during engagement of a clamp means to be clamped with a clamping device 40. In this case, the cover member 80 guides a support rod 82 and is lowered in a grasping hole 6a to allow engagement of a pull stud 96. Thereafter, by feeding pressure fluid through a feed passage 48b to the upper surface side of a piston 56 of a collect 54 as in a well-known clamping device, the collect 54 is lowered. A ball 70 for clamping is engaged with a leg part 98 of the pull stud 96 to grasp and secure the pull stud 96. When the pull stud 96 is completely pulled off from the grasping hole 66a of the collect 54, the upper opening of the grasping hole 66a is blocked with the cover member 80.</p> |
