PURPOSE:To restrain chattering sound and noise of a saw blade which is easily machined having constant pitches, by forming a suitable number of recesses in at least one of both side surfaces of the saw blade, and by selecting the lengths, depths and width of the recesses so that they are not uniform. CONSTITUTION:An endless bandsaw blade 1 comprises a barrel sections 3 composed of front and back barrel parts 3F, 3B, and a tooth section 5. The tooth section3 is formed at constant pitches. Then, recesses 7 having a width (w) and length l1-ln are formed alternately in both front and back barrel parts 3F, 3B of the band barrel section 3 so that they have depths t1-tn within the thickness T of the band. The recesses 7 has pitches p1-pn. Further, the bandsaw 1 has a width W. It has been mentioned that the recesses 7 are formed in both front and back barrel parts 3A, 3B in an alternate manner, but the recesses 7 may be formed in an opposed relation. |
