PURPOSE:To automatically and simultaneously perform tooling and dressing of a grindstone in a machining table by filling a machining solution in a machining bath surrounding a discharge electrode. CONSTITUTION:When machining roughness reaches a specified value or less and tooling and dressing of a grindstone 3 is required, the grindstone 3 is positioned just above a machining bath 7 which is located at the end of a table 4 with a previously inputted program, and moves in a Z axis direction so that the tip of the grindstone approaches a discharge electrode 8 to a distance capable of discharge. A motor switching circuit is operated to connect a servomotor to a discharge power source 11, and discharge is performed between the discharge electrode 8 and a shank of the grindstone 3. While the grindstone 3 is slowly rotated, it is revolved around the discharge electrode 8 to perform electric discharge machining. Thereby, tooling and dressing of the periphery of the grindstone is simultaneously performed. |
