PURPOSE:To obtain a copy of high picture quality, etc., and to easily know even the fact that one light source fails to turn on in such a case by providing plural light sources, controlling their lighting states by a signal generator and a controller, and providing a lighting detecting device and a monitor device. CONSTITUTION:A stabilized power unit 29 and an AC power source 30 are connected to the light sources L1-L16. The controller 31 which controls the lighting states of the respective light sources L1-L16 individually is interposed between the light sources L1-L16 and stabilized power unit 29. This controller 13 is provided with an output port 33 as the signal generating device which is controlled by the main controller 32 of a copying machine and generates ON.OFF signals for respective transistors Q1-Q8. Further, the lighting detecting device 34 which detects the lighting states of the light sources L1-L11 individually is provided and the monitor device 35 is connected to the output side of this lighting detecting circuit 34. |
