PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet printer generating no leakage of ink from a manometer, by closing the open end of the manometer by a cap by bringing a solenoid to a non-exciting state when a response switch is closed by the operation of an inclination and vibration detector. CONSTITUTION:An inclination and vibration detector is a handstanding pendulum shaped one and has a handstanding pendulum consisting of a wt.9, a vertical rod 10, a support stand 11 and a spring 12 and is equipped with a cylindrical electrode 13 arranged so as to surround the periphery of the wt.9. The wt.9 also functions as an electrode and is connected to the electric wire W1 piercing through the vertical rod 10. Even if a solenoid has been brought to an exciting state during the operation of a printer, when the printer is inclined at predetermined angle or more or exciting force of a predetermined value or more is added to the printer, the wt.9 of the detector is contacted with the cylindrical electrode 13 to open a sub-switch 18 and, therefore, the supply of a current to the solenoid 5 through the sub-switch 18 is cut off and a cap 4 is pushed in the atmosphere upon end of a manometer 3 to prevent the leakage of ink from the manometer 3. |
