PURPOSE:To enhance printing quality and a printing speed, by providing head arrangement wherein an order for scanning a printing range is set from a head injecting ink having low luminousity to a head injecting ink having higher luminousity. CONSTITUTION:Heads for black 2, magenta 3, cyan 4 and yellow 5 are arranged on a carriage 1. When a printing start order enters, the carriage 1 begins to move to the direction shown by an arrow 14 by the rotation of a carriage motor 12 and the output of an encoder 13 is counted and, when the carriage 1 reaches a printing position, inks are injected from the heads 2-5. For example, when a green character 20 is printed, the cyan head 4 reaches a prescribed printing position at first to perform printing and the carriage 1 further moves to allow the yellow head 5 to reach the same position where yellow ink is injected so as to be superposed onto cyan ink. In the case of the green character, a green dot coming to a core become a contour and, even if yellow bordering 21 becomes thick, said character is not sensed as a thick character visually and, therefore, printing quality becomes almost the same to that at the time of monochromatic printing and is enhanced. |
