PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive electrode head having high resolving power and high reliability, by a method wherein first and second electric insulating supports each having a large number of grooves provided to the surface thereof are arranged so that the trough of each groove of one support is opposed to the crest of each groove of the other support and electrode needles are provided to the troughs of the grooves of the first and second supports. CONSTITUTION:Grooves arranged at a constant pitch are processed to the surfaces of first and second electric insulating supports 101, 102 while both supports are matched so that the crest of each groove of one support is opposed to the trough of each groove of the other support and electrode needles 103 are provided in the troughs 104. The first and second supports and the electrode needles 103 are fixed by a resin and the width of each crest is desirably larger than that of each trough. The depth of each groove is pref. almost equal to the diameter of each electrode needle because a delay time given to an electric signal corresponding to one dot is easy to prepare. By this constitution, an electrode head having not only high resolving power put also high reliability can be inexpensively manufactured and used in various recording apparatuses each using the electrode head having electrode needles arranged thereto at high density. |
