PURPOSE:A seed treatment agent that contains cholines and manifests the effects of increase in crop yield, growth acceleration, healthy seedling growth, quality improvement, germination improvement, cold-resistance improvement, rooting acceleration, and of enabling low-temperature cultivation by treating seeds of crops such as wheat with the agent. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent contains one or more of cholines, or its inorganic acid salts, e.g., hydrochoride, phosphate, sulfate, or nitrate and organic acid saltes, e.g., acetate, citrate, L(+)-tartarate. The combined use of surfactant is preferred that the seeds are readily impregnated with the agent. The above- stated mixture is prepared into dust, solution, emulsion, aqueous suspension for application. The concentration of the active ingredient is 0.3-3,000ppm in the solution and th preparation is used at 0-35 deg.C. Crops to be treated are, e.g., cerals such as wheat, corns, or beans such as soy beans, flowers such as cosmos, vegetables such as radish, cabbage, or lettuce, fruits such as melon, and lawn, or the like.
