PURPOSE:To improve the separation characteristic of chromatography, by using a copolymer, which is obtained by bonding phenyl borate to a specific gel like copolymer based on glycidyl monovinyl ester or the like through a bonding group, as a carrier. CONSTITUTION:Glycidyl monovinyl ester or glycidyl monovinyl ether (e.g., glycidyl methacrylate) being an (A)-component is crosslinked with alkylene glycol divinyl ester (e.g., ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) being a (B)-component to obtain a gel like copolymer based on (A)- and (B)-components. A bonding group, for example, an epoxy group, an amino group or a carboxyl group is introduced into this gel like copolymer and phenyl borate (e.g., aminophenyl borate) is bonded to said copolymer through the bonding group to obtain a porous copolymer. Because this porous copolymer is used as an adsorbing carrier for affinity chromatography, separation and purifying efficiency is enhanced and a working time can be shortened. |
