PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having excellent processability, impact resilience, etc., and composed of a stock rubber containing a polymer obtained by terminal-modification of a rubbery polybutadiene or styrene- butadiene copolymer produced by the use of an organic lithium catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) 100pts.(wt.) of a stock rubber containing >=10(wt)%, preferably >=30% polymer having a Mooney viscosity of 20-150 and obtained by terminal-modification reaction of (a) a rubbery polybutadiene or a rubbery butadiene-styrene copolymer containing <=45% styrene unit, having a vinyl bond content of 10-70% in butadiene unit and a molecular weight distribution of 1.2-3 and produced by the polymerization in a hydrocarbon solvent (e.g. n-hexane) in the presence of an organic lithium catalyst (e.g. n-butyllithium) with (b) a carbodiimide compound (e.g. dicyclohexylcarbodiimide) with (B) 10-100pts. of carbon black, (C) 0.1-5pts. of sulfur and (D) a vulcanization accelerator.
