PURPOSE:To minimize the buckling of a molding and to make the volume thereof smaller and the density higher by pushing the molding which is compressed in the final compression chamber into a cartridge chamber set around with a cord for tying in the inlet and tying the molding in the compressed state then extruding the molding with the succeeding compressed molding. CONSTITUTION:The compressed molding 2 of dry grass or the like which is compressed in the final compression chamber 1 is pushed by a tapered inside surface 8 which is made narrower in the pushing direction to prevent the expansion of the molding into the cartridge chamber 3 provided with a projection 9 for preventing the push back on the inside surface near the inlet 4. The molding 2 maintains the compressed state without expanding in the respective directions of the outlet 7 and inlet 4; at the same time, the cord 5 for tying preliminarily set around the inlet 4 is hooked to the front surface of the molding 2 in the stage of the above-mentioned pushing and while the cord 5 is dragged by the top and bottom surfaces, the cord is automatically wound around the molding 2 and the molding is tied by a suitable means. The molding 2 is extruded from the chamber 3 by the force of the next molding when said molding is extruded and fed into the chamber 3 by a cylinder 14. The costs of packing and transportation are reduced and the collapsion of the packings is prevented by the above-mentioned method.
