<p>Tobacco compsn. liberates practically pure nicotine (I) when air is drawn through it and when it is heated at below the combustion temp. The compsn. is a mixt. of tobacco; water; basic material (A); and opt. oil, detergents and/or flavourings. Pref. water is present (1) as a hydrated salt, esp. Na2CO3 10H20 (also supplying (A)) or a zeolite, or (2) in the form of heat-sensitive microcapsules. Also new is a device for releasing (I) from the compsn. in a form suitable for inhalation.</p> |
