PURPOSE:To prevent a slip of a belt, or the like during restarting of a vehicle, by increasing the line pressure exceeding a normal value just after the vehicle stopping, so that the gear ratio is returned to a maximum value during stopping of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:During control of speed shift, when a vehicle is stopped, a vehicle stopping detecting section 60 which receives a signal NS from a secondary pulley rotational speed sensor 42, receives the signal NS having zero value, and a vehicle stop signal is delivered to a time setting section 61. Just after that, the line pressure which is applied to the output side of a desired line pressure calculating section 54 for a predetermined time, is set to a value which is larger than a normal value, by a line pressure compensating section 62, and the time therefor is made to be variable in accordance with a constant value or a deceleration to stop the vehicle. Therefore, the hydraulic pressure of a secondary cylinder becomes high, and therefore, a belt is forced to be pulled during speed shift operation so that it is possible to rapidly return the vehicle into a maximum gear ratio condition. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent a slip of the belt or the like during restarting of the vehicle, and to enhance the durability of the belt. |
