PURPOSE:To generate a bit of information for a sheet of continuous drawing by inputting automatically the bits of information for two sheets of continuous drawings to a computer, and performing automatically the position alignment of the two sheets of drawings using a picture figure processing technology. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet of drawing is inputted with a picture input means 1, a bit of binary picture information is generated, and is stored at a storage means 2. Also, at a picture processing means 3, the bit of coordinate information of a sequence of points at the center of a line is generated, and is stored at a storage means 4. The above stated process is performed on the two sheets of drawings, a part of which is overlapped. An overlap detection means 5 finds an overlapped part where the two sheets of drawings are overlapped, and the bit of information is stored at a storage means 6. At a connection means 7, a bit of sequence of points information are connected at the overlapped part of the drawings based on the contents of the storage means 4 and 6, and the bit of sequence of points information for a sheet of continuous drawing can be generated. |
