An extremely inexpensive, reusable can closure for opened beverage cans, for example soft-drink and beer cans. It prevents the remains of a beverage spilling out from tilted positions of the can, such as can easily occur, for example in a car, when it has been set down temporarily. It allows the beverage cans to be used as spice cans for salt, pepper, etc. The can closure has an insertion part which, when removed, exposes a plurality of small holes from which salt and pepper can be sprinkled. As an advertising carrier it can come to rest on the opening area of a beverage can in the package, it still being possible for the cans to be stacked as well.
