PURPOSE:To save energy and to eliminate noises in a stand-by state by providing a means which cools the inside of a device during copying operation and a means which cuts off power supply to a heat fixing device until the temperature in the device reaches specific temperature in a copying operation wait state. CONSTITUTION:A fan 2 rotates during the rotation of a main motor 5, i.e. only in copying operation to discharge the air in the device. The heat fixing device 1 is powered on with a main switch 4 and a temperature adjustment is made at fixation temperature and below by a temperature sensor 10 and a controller 11. The means which adjusts the temperature continuously until the device reaches constant permissible temperature on the whole, i.e. maximum permissible temperature and cuts off the power supply, i.e. a relay which cuts off power supply according to a time limit is provided in the controller. This constitution saves energy and prevents noises from being generated by the rotation of the fan in a stand-by state. |
