PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of secrecy by automatically erasing printing traces, by pressing a press body to an ink ribbon after printing to scrape off ink by the press body. CONSTITUTION:Before a cassette case 3 is mounted to a ribbon base 1, a sensor 10 detecting a ribbon end is retracted outwardly by the force of a spring 11. However, if the cassette case 3 is allowed to approach the ribbon base 1, because a receiving part 13 is pressed to the cassette case, the sensor 10 revolves to approach a window 7 to be contacted with an ink ribbon 4. At the same time, a press body 14 presses the surface of the ink layer side of the ink ribbon 4 supported by a leaf spring 16. In this state, the ink ribbon 4 is fed and passes in front of a printing head to be rubbed with the press body 14 and the ink on the ink ribbon 4 is scraped off to be accumulated in an ink sump 21. Therefore, the printing traces of the ink ribbon after use are eliminated.
