PURPOSE:To surely control an output voltage even if the constants of parts are irregular by controlling the base current of a switching transistor in response to a load state. CONSTITUTION:A transistor 4 is oscillated, and a raised AC is generated at the secondary side winding 39 of a transformer 5. After this AC is rectified and smoothed, it is supplied to a predetermined load. The voltage of a resistor 21 is fed back through an error amplifier 25 to the transistor 4. Further, the output of the detecting winding 40 of the transformer 5 is fed through resistors 18, 17 and a Zener diode 16 to the base of the transistor 4 to limit the high voltage output to a predetermined value.
