<p>Heterocyclic cpds. contg. nitrogen, with a condensed benzene ring, of formula (I), in which R1 to R4 are H, halogen, alkoxy, alkyl or other, X is NH or NR, p is 0-9 and Rx is a ring of formula (III) in which R5 to R8 are as R1, and R9 and R10 are H, cyclo-alkyl or alkyl, for use to inhibit secretions of the gastric system, are made by oxidising a cpd. of formula (II) with m-chloro perbenzoic acid in CH2Cl2 at (-) 20 to 10 deg.C in presence of vanadyl acetyl-acetonate.</p> |
