PURPOSE:To enhance separation efficiency of ink from water, by a method wherein a main body wherein a large number of fins are vertically arranged and electrodes are provided betwen fins is opposed to a doctor blade and voltage is applied between the electrodes and the doctor blade. CONSTITUTION:Ink 8 scraped by a doctor blade 2 fills the leading ends of fins (f) of an ink/water separation apparatus 22 and the surface of the ink receives strong shearing by the doctor blade 2 to form such a state that dampening water extruded from the ink is adhered to the fins (f). During the time when ink and water fall to Z-direction between the doctor blade 2 and electrodes 23 under gravity, water moves to the sides of the electrodes by electric force at a speed faster by 40,000 times as compared with the ink to be separated from the ink. The height of the upper part h1 of each fin (f) is made lower and that of the lower part h2 is made higher so that a water flow-down locus and each electrode 23 are made almost parallel and water flows down in the vicinity of the electrode 23 having large electric force.
