The mine consists of an active body (1) whose upwardly pointing surface is a signalling surface (3) which is coated with a signalling paint or the like. The signalling surface (3) is normally covered by the cover (2), which also contains the detonator (4). Once the active time of the mine which is being set has elapsed, not only is the detonator (4) rendered inoperative, but the cover (2) is also ejected from the active body (1) via an activator (6). In consequence, the signalling surfaces (3) on the upper end wall of the active body (1) and the lower end wall of the cover (2) are exposed, so that the active body can easily be identified to be safe again and can be picked up. <IMAGE>
