<p>An aqueous solution or suspension containing alkali metal hydroxides or carbonates or alkaline earth metal hydroxides or carbonates is sprayed into the hot raw gas, which is rich in fly ash, and the thus formed mixture of halides and excess oxide is separated out of the gas conjointly with the fly ash. The process is preferably performed with an aqueous milk of lime (calcium hydroxide) suspension, the CaO content of which is between 150 and 300 g/l. <IMAGE></p> |
