The invention relates to an apparatus for the continuous wet treatment of tubular fabric, there being arranged downstream of the balloon stage a pair of rollers which serves for the retention of liquor carried along and the nip of which is set in such a way that the tubular fabric, after passing this pair of rollers, still has a liquor load of 150 to 250%. An apparatus of this type is characterised, above all, by the avoidance of any shoulder marking.
