A heat-sensitive recording material whose heat-sensitive layer arranged on a support contains a colourless, chromogenic material, a colour developer (acceptor) for the chromogenic material, binders, pigments, conventional auxiliaries and in addition, as sensitisers, one or more compounds of the formula: <IMAGE> in which R<1> and R<2> together form an aromatic ring or are each, independently of one another, H, -CH3, -OH, -CN or -OOC-CH3, and R<3> and R<4>, independently of one another are H, -CH3, -OH, -CN or -OOCCH3.
